What could be better than a day full of free dance workshops??
How about another set of free dance workshops to celebrate the upcoming Dance Day?
NEW this year, we’re pleased to announce a family-friendly Dance Day preview event that will be held at Eakins Oval at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. As with the daytime workshops on Dance Day, there is absolutely no charge to join in the fun. Just show up ready to dance. Bring the kids — the music and choreography will be suitable for all ages. If there are young children in the crowd, we may start with a short set of creative movement. After that, we’ll launch into hip-hop and Zumba, led by Diamond Edmonds, Deb Hirsch and possibly a few other guest instructors. No dance experience necessary, just jump in and follow along! We’ll be dancing outside, so wear comfortable shoes and don’t forget your sunscreen and water. No cost to participate, however, you may want to bring some money if you plan to buy food.
