What could be better than a day full of free dance workshops??
How about another free dance event to celebrate the upcoming 7th annual Dance Day?
Join us at noon on Sunday, July 17 for a family-friendly Dance Day preview event at Eakins Oval. As with the daytime workshops on Dance Day, there is absolutely no charge to join in the fun. Just show up ready to dance. Bring the kids — the music and choreography will be suitable for all ages.
The hour-long program will include Power Stretch & Sculpt led by Emily Tara Sabalbaro, BollyX led by Deeksha Seth and, of course, some Zumba and hip-hop line dances led by Deb Hirsch and possibly a few other guest instructors. (You can also find all of these instructors teaching again on Dance Day itself, check out the full July 30 schedule here.)
No dance experience necessary, just jump in and follow along! We’ll be dancing outside, so wear comfortable shoes and don’t forget your sunscreen and water. No cost to participate, however, you may want to bring some money if you plan to buy snacks or lunch from vendors in the area.
We held our first outdoor Oval preview last year and had a blast despite the heat, so we hope you’ll join us again this summer! Special thanks to Philly Dance Fitness member Moria M., who helped set up this exciting partnership!
